Welcome to the Shanti Niketan Society for Semi-Retired and Seniors (SNSSRS, est.June 27, 1996) online. The Shanti Niketan Society for Semi-Retired and Seniors is a non-profit community service organisation and it is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency.

The Society organises annual picnic, yoga classes, and workshops for Health and Finance. It is entirely supported with the help of volunteers and members, fundraising and an occasional government grant for a special project.

The mission of the society is to ensure universal and knowledgeable appreciation about the effects of AGING and to support through direct services and advocacy so that the quality of life may be enhanced for seniors or older people. In addition to serving the seniors or older people,the Society promotes respect, and understanding amongst vibrant and diverse cultural groups in Edmonton Region by participating or co-organising in various events within or out in the community.

Yoga session by Sri Jivan Bhai Patel

Shanti Niketan Society for Semi-Retired and Seniors organised Yoga session on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 by learned yoga teacher Jivan Patel at Shanti Niketan Society’s Building. The yoga session was coordinated by Mr Madan Prasad 780-218-5586 and Yoga teacher Bena Patani. The program was grand successful with active participation of the society’s members.
